This role is categorized as hybrid on night shift. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office three times per week or other frequency dictated by the business.

The Role

The Data Support Analyst will serve as a critical team member responsible for supporting the smooth flow and accuracy of operational data across multiple internal and external systems. This role focuses on monitoring data ingestion and processing across key data pipelines, identifying and resolving issues in real-time, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of vehicle inventory, sales, service, and parts datasets. The Analyst plays a key part in diagnosing disruptions in batch jobs, flagging performance issues, and communicating status updates or escalations as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Build upon prior work experiences to propose and implement business solutions for more complex business problems with some independent judgement and autonomy
  • Analyze business results (vs. forecast, budget and prior year), understand and explain changes in business drivers, drive forecast accuracy, and recommend improvements- develop and utilize financial analysis tools to proactively evaluate financial performance and business risk
  • Prepare reporting package for monthly operating review and/or Key performance Indicators (KPIs), selecting the best presentation method for audience
  • Support the budget and Long Term plan development
  • Analyze trends to establish aggressive yet achievable targets
  • Form relationships with functional stakeholders and business partners- Display deep understanding of how position / operating staff impacts the Income Statement and Cash Flow
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation (e.g. streamline process, improve data analytics)
  • Effectively communicate financial performance and results of analysis performed to Finance Leadership and Key business partners
  • Proactively seek opportunities to grow (e.g. develop new skills, attend training opportunities, network, feedback)
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Monitor and validate end-to-end data flow for dealer data (e.g., DMS, DVIM, VIUS) processed during nightly and intra-day batch cycles.
  • Track file statuses through various lifecycle stages and ensure timely processing.
  • Investigate and resolve anomalies such as high counts of files in unprocessed statuses (e.g., SKIPPED-R, SKIPPED-V) and files stuck in processing.
  • Proactively check DDS insights dashboards for error patterns, incomplete files, and processing failures.
  • Execute SQL queries and dashboard checks to validate DDS processing status (e.g., Process_Status = 'C' and ddcc_status = 'DATALOADER COMPLETE').
  • Support weekend patching protocols by disabling/enabling appropriate jobs in coordination with the Tidal schedule.
  • Collaborate with the D2C2 and AVIP teams to troubleshoot data pipeline and distribution issues post-processing.
  • Document recurring issues and work with development and infrastructure teams to implement root-cause fixes.
  • Create support reports highlighting trends in data flow, job performance, or outage patterns to improve data delivery success rate.
  • Maintain internal runbooks and SOPs related to batch job monitoring and troubleshooting.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data operations, production support, or a similar analyst role.
  • Familiarity with batch data processing workflows and ETL pipelines.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and validating data statuses.
  • Experience working with dashboarding or monitoring tools (e.g., custom dashboards, Power BI, etc).
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose system-level data flow issues.
  • Understanding of data lifecycle concepts, data quality principles, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to work independently during off-hours or scheduled processing windows (e.g., 9pm–6am EST batch window monitoring).

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with Tidal or similar job scheduling platforms.
  • Familiarity with automotive dealer data or systems such as DMS (Dealer Management Systems).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools like DataStage.
  • Understanding of JSON/XML log parsing and interpreting system-level logs.
  • Awareness of high-availability data operations and SLAs in a multi-country data environment.
