Required Skills:
College degree on Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Physics Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar
3+ Years of cross-functional experience in LS-Dyna, Optistruct, and Safety related simulations.
Knowledge of optimization principles, tools, and experience with performance tradeoff studies.
DFSS Blackbelt Certification.
Understanding of related CAE disciplines for Interiors (Structure, N&V, Durability).
Proactively goes above and beyond areas of responsibility.
Has demonstrated the ability to provide technical mentorship to others
Skills:
Advanced proficiency in English
Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, oral and written
Quick learner, able to adapt and acquire new knowledge rapidly
Strong autonomy in managing tasks and responsibilities
Analytical mindset, capable of identifying and solving performance challenges through innovative approaches
Or CAE Engineering expertise: Skilled in tools including HyperMesh, HyperView, HyperGraph, OptiStruct, SimSolid, SimLab, LS-DYNA, Abaqus, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Knowledge in CAE evaluations, both dynamic and static
Programming knowledge in Python and Java (desirable)
Work in coordination with other areas of engineering such as: Design engineering, Release, Development, Studio, Validation and Manufacturing, to develop integral solutions using math virtual simulation
Proposes innovative solutions to complex and unconventional challenges, with moderate assistance.
Maintains high rigor in adhering to established processes.
Participates in broad and varied tasks with different levels of complexity
Possesses a clear understanding of the fundamental principles of the technical domain.
Produces and evaluates solutions to improve the Performance, quality and cost of the designs, based on specialized engineering knowledge
Generates virtual assessments reports.
Participates in global forums and meetings to share technical information with other regions (e.g. new procedures and new simulation techniques)
Create professional and long-lasting professional relationship with peers
Technical knowledge:
Understanding of engineering theory, principles of design, as well as solid knowledge in areas such as materials mechanics, structural analysis and/or fluid dynamics, heat transfer and thermodynamics. Desirable to have fundamentals on manufacturing and automotive engineering. Understanding of CAE theory.
