Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Lansing Delta on a full-time basis.

The Role/Job Overview

This role is a direct report to the Body Area Director. You will be responsible for partnering on the integration of equipment and other resources into the manufacturing process. The role will require a high level of independent thinking and discernment to solve manufacturing problems and optimize solutions. Your responsibility may involve training others and coordinating work with other small groups of employees.

What You'll Do/Responsibilities

  • A successful candidate has extensive knowledge and deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a broad knowledge of related areas/functions. Identifies and analyzes options before breaking them down into initiatives capable of implementation.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal oversight or guidance. Acts as a resource to colleagues and plays an integral role in the leadership team of the Body Shop.
  • Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners. Uses data and analysis to demonstrate the value of different projects or potential pitfalls of others. Often effects change in a broader functional area without direct exercise of authority.
  • Must maintain regular contact with partners outside the work group and act as a liaison between manufacturing and other support groups.
  • Scope and direct impact of this resource role may be redirected or fluctuate dependent on business conditions. Must be flexible and agile on work assignment dependent on project workload.

Required Qualifications

  • Equivalent experience: 5+ years of relevant experience required (automotive industry and manufacturing)
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to work effectively with a cross-functional group; leading the group as needed
  • Ability to multi-task on multiple critical issues at the same time
  • Ability to work effectively under a high amount of stress
  • Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed

  • Previous experience with body shop
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing and automotive industry
  • Ability to work effectively will all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight or guidance
