Systems Engineering Senior

Contributes to completion of specific engineering programs and projects

Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems

Perform complex systems design, development, and integration from the start of a systems life cycle to the end

Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools

Performs complex systems modeling, simulation, and analysis

Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems

Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects

Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology

May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

May serve as a team or task lead

Education and experience:

BA/BS or equivalent

5+ years of experience

2+ years specifically operating and managing AWS infrastructure.

Active TS/SCI with polygraph

Must possess the required DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (Security+CE preferred)

Location: On customer site

Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure to include EC2, S3, EBS, VPCs, Security Groups and IAM policies

Knowledge of AWS Route 53 DNS service, AWS RDS Services, AWS KMS and AWS Lambda.

Experience building/deploying AMIs in AWS and deploying products from the AWS Marketplace

Experience scripting against AWS CLI.

Understanding of on-premise to cloud connectivity using VPNs & AWS DirectConnect

Experience with managing & monitoring cloud-based infrastructure, security, and application environments

The likely salary range for this position is $119,870 - $162,178. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
