Systems Engineer Senior

Meaningful work and personal impact as a Federated Lab Systems Engineer Senior, you will support the design, development engineering, integration, and technical operational support to employ specified non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNET), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET), virtualization environments.

Operate and maintain the Fed Lab assets in support of the testing and evaluation of systems used by the Army Network Command (NETCOM).

  • Install, configure and manage a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure.
  • Provide planning, installing, configuring, and upgrading support for vCenter Server and VMware ESXi cluster using version 8.x.
  • Manage and allocate virtual hardware to virtual machines including right-sizing CPU and memory to support lab tenants project's needs.
  • Develop plans for configuring, deploying, and administering virtual machines and Virtual Applications.
  • Establish and maintain service levels; perform troubleshooting; monitor vSphere implementations and vCenter server alarms.
  • Apply/implement IAVMs, STIGs, bug fixes, security patches/controls, and access controls across multiple platforms.

What you'll need to succeed bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer Senior must have:

  • Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related virtualization experience.
  • Qualifications/Certifications: DoD 8570.1-M certification: IAT Level III.
  • Required Technical Skills: Provide planning, design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to the ADCNOMS project on Virtual platform, Virtual OS, Virtual application VMware Hypervisor, Virtual storage.
  • Security clearance level: Secret
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Microsoft Office suite and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
  • Preferred Skills: VMware/Broadcom Virtualization knowledge.
  • Location: Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Travel Required: Less than 10%
