How a Systems Architect will make an impact:

  • Manage fact finding, analysis and development of final reports and delivery of presentations related to information technology.
  • Responsible for designing, leading and managing the delivery of mission critical systems and software products.
  • Conduct organizational analysis and evaluations to determine functional requirements
  • Work closely with versatile systems and engineering specialists to prioritize customer requirements, define goals, and refine business objectives.
  • Coordinates with Network, Security, and Program/Project Management to ensure team alignment on key initiatives and dependencies between groups.
  • Brief and convey technical information to customer leadership and stakeholders.
  • Interface directly with other system owners, customer leads, and end users to elicit new ideas and innovations that can be built into future systems deliveries.
  • Develop and apply engineering and design methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces, and applications and solutions.
  • Senior level experience with design, development, implementation and maintenance of large-scale systems, preferably across multiple hardware platforms and data centers.
  • The individual should have a strong understanding of the critical role a Systems Architect plays in delivering value to end users.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Required Education and Experience: BA/BS + 10 years
  • Certifications: DoD Approved Baseline 8570 IAT Level III certification is required prior to start date.
  • Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI Polygraph prior to starting.
  • Required Technical Skills: Evaluate information as it relates to requirements determination, conceptualization, design, development, testing, verification and validation, documentation, and implementation.
  • Required Skills: Windows systems, Linux, RedHat 6.5, Oracle, SQL Server 2012, Microsoft IIS, MS Hyper-V/VMWare/ESX/Xen Hypervisors, Windows Server 2012 r2/2016, Database, and Data Management, Storage, Switching, Firewall, and Security Systems.
  • Hands on engineering experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts.
  • Experience with SAN, NAS and iSCSI storage implementations.
  • Experience with capacity planning and sizing storage and backup environments.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimizing storage and backup environments.
  • Experience with data center migrations and storage replication technologies.
  • Location: On Customer Site

The likely salary range for this position is $144,410 - $195,378. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
