Outside Electrician And Electronics Mechanic Manager

The successful candidate must be able to manage the daily activities of (15) hourly Outside Electricians and Electronics Mechanics, providing daily direction and technical assistance. Must be able to manage crew safety, quality, cost and schedule performance within established goals, and promote and implement process improvement goals. Ensure employees are properly trained to perform their job assignments and ensure all applicable work procedures/documents are adhered to. Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written skills, as well as be able to interface with the customer and senior management. Candidate must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and be willing to travel as required.

Required:

• High School/GED Required.
• Two (2) years of shipyard, naval or electrical experience

Preferred:

• AS/BS/Technical School
• 5 years Electrical experience, consisting of education/training (i.e. Technical School, AS/BS degree in any engineering discipline) and experience in the electrical field.
• Knowledge of Electrical processes, including fabrication and installation of ship's wireways, and installation and hook-up of cables for systems aboard ship. Knowledge of fiber optics, MRP, Artemis, and EWP.
• Working Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Lotus Notes.

Candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills, be capable of working effectively with Senior Management, Customer Representatives and Shop/Trade personnel. Must be willing and able to work overtime and travel in support of offsite work. Must be able to read and interpret company policies and procedures. Good understanding the elements of EVMS and EBOS. Must possess a desire to accomplish work in fast paced shipyard environment and have strong planning and supervisory skills.
