Global Services Technical Instructor

The Global Services Technical Instructor role is responsible for delivering, and supporting the analysis, design, and development of technical learning of Vascular medical devices and systems in a highly regulated industry. The qualified individual will ensure all internal and external customer needs are met and that students are prepared, supported and empowered to serve our customers safely and effectively. Responsibilities

  • Create a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation.
  • Contribute to overall effectiveness of educational programs.
  • Manage the classroom environment to foster a positive learning experience.
  • Deliver learning solutions in a manner that is both engaging and effective.
  • Facilitate hands-on and virtual lab experiences and maintain training equipment as needed.
  • Stay informed and current with changes and innovations in their area of technical expertise.
  • Collaborate in a team environment to drive a learning continuum culture.
  • Build Performance Support Tool solutions for internal and external use.
  • Engage and provide training input into new product introductions.
  • Support eLearning initiatives as subject matter experts and instructional designers.
  • Works with Instructional designers, Software Developers and Engineers to design and produce engaging, technically accurate content.
  • Adhere to Environment Health and Safety requirements and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strict compliance to General Electric's Spirit and Letter Policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience in the field or in an engineering role.
  • Recognized service expertise in the IGS/Vascular modality.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive and convey engineering and electro/mechanical details.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to create varied learning styles for all students.
  • Fluid communication in English.
  • Team player, with a positive attitude and a passion for creativity.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Job location at our Training Center in Milwaukee area.
  • Open to domestic or global travel to deliver training or Train-The-Trainer sessions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer quality and customer satisfaction in and outside of the classroom.

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
  • Experience with adult education principles and delivery techniques.
  • Experience with virtual training and learning.

Quality Specific Goals

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Complete all planned Quality, Compliance and Environment Health and Safety training within the defined deadlines.
  • Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.
