Senior Electronics Engineer

GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Our mission is to improve lives in the moments that matter. We are now looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team in Uppsala, developing PET cyclotron and radiochemistry systems.

In this role, you will work with complex, high-precision electronic systems with demanding requirements on robustness, reliability, and long operational lifetime. The role combines hands-on PCB design and product lifecycle ownership with a broader responsibility across the electronics domain, including control systems and power supply design. As a senior engineer, you are expected to take technical ownership, drive design decisions, and actively contribute to the development of engineering practices and team competence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Significant years of experience in electronics design and PCB development
  • Strong expertise in schematic design and PCB layout (Allegro / OrCAD or equivalent)
  • Experience working with complex electronic systems, including control and/or power-related designs
  • Proven ability to take technical ownership and drive design decisions
  • Experience across the full product lifecycle, including redesign and obsolescence management
  • Strong problem-solving skills in complex technical environments
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience from high-reliability or regulated industries (e.g. medical, industrial)
  • Deep understanding of EMC design and compliance
  • Experience mentoring or coaching other engineers
  • Programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, C/C++)
  • Experience in RF and/or power electronics (considered a plus)
  • Swedish language skills
