Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing specialized technical support, maintenance, and installation of GE HealthCare's medical equipment and systems in Colombia. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of the equipment, customer satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities of the Position
Workplace: Bogotá
- Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of GE HealthCare medical equipment, including all modalities.
- Execute inspections and preventive maintenance services (PM) to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Respond to and resolve customer service requests and technical concerns efficiently and effectively, both on-site and remotely.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems using schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Document all service activities accurately and completely in the company's service management system.
- Provide technical guidance and training to customers on equipment operation and basic maintenance procedures.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts for the assigned territory, ensuring availability and proper handling.
- Comply with all GE HealthCare safety policies, procedures, and guidelines and with applicable local regulations.
- Collaborate with sales, applications, and other service teams to ensure comprehensive support and high customer satisfaction.
- Participate in on-call shifts and be available for emergency service requests outside of regular working hours.
- Maintain a high level of technical competence through continuous training and professional development.
Requirements of the Position
- Professional in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a field service engineer, preferably in the medical devices or healthcare industry.
- Requires intermediate English spoken, read, and written.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, essential for frequent travel within Colombia.
- Desirable North American visa.
- Proven experience in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of complex medical equipment.
- Solid knowledge in electronics, mechanics, and computer systems applied to medical devices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service orientation, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality standards in healthcare (e.g., ISO, INVIMA) is a plus.
