GEA Group Technician
This role combines technical expertise in dairy equipment service with customer relationship management and dealer support. Ideal candidates are self-motivated technicians with strong troubleshooting abilities, leadership qualities, and a commitment to delivering superior customer experiences while representing GEA's service excellence in the field.
Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair various dairy equipment to meet customer needs and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose equipment issues efficiently while maintaining high service quality.
- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver technical solutions and strong customer support.
- Mentor and train Level 1 technicians to build team capabilities.
- Balance technical expertise with excellent customer service and relationship management.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of GEA Conventional and Robotic Milking Systems.
- Support dealers during equipment installations, startups, and ongoing service needs.
- Create customized service packages to enhance system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a liaison between dealers and GEA, ensuring clear communication and coordinated support.
- Contribute to product improvement efforts through feedback and collaboration.
- Provide timely reports and updates to internal stakeholders.
- Attend industry meetings to stay informed on new technologies and trends.
- Manage inventory efficiently in collaboration with dealers.
- Utilize Dairy Plan/Dairy Net software for system monitoring and management.
Your Profile/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in dairy or agricultural operations.
- Strong product knowledge with proven ability to align technical solutions to customer needs.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); project management experience is a plus.
- Willing to travel extensively (75–85%).
The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $65 - $75 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.
