The Technical Field Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to the hardware or software systems of GEA. This role requires traveling to customer locations to resolve problems and provide on-site support.
Responsibilities / Tasks:
1. Provide on-site technical support for GEA installed systems.
2. Diagnose and resolve technical problems.
3. Install and configure hardware and software.
4. Maintain systems.
5. Provide guidance and support to users.
6. Keep a detailed record of all technical issues and implemented solutions.
7. Execute scheduled services in the field.
8. Execute field services for clients as required.
9. Execute urgent requirements for clients, interacting with sales team, direct reports, and internal areas of the company.
10. Install and replace spare parts necessary for the correct execution of the service, interacting with end customers, internal and external collaborators, and the GEA group factory if required.
11. Be present in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-ups of new equipment, ensuring the correct execution and planning of activity, selecting local or own resources, third parties, or resources from GEA group companies, acting as an executor between the end customer and our defined own collaborators.
12. Control the assigned budget in working hours based on the offered.
13. Generate the respective documentary closure for each activity related to field service, self-copying reports, final digital reports, faithfully complying with the associated indicator for this point.
14. Generate proactive interaction with peers, ensuring the correct execution of the services requested by customers.
15. Ensure the correct use of the tools provided by the company, including the truck, tools, instruments, etc.
Your Profile / Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Technical in Electromechanics, Electricity, Network Systems, Electronics, or related field (related technician).
Class B driver's license.
Previous work experience in a similar role for at least 2 years.
Previous certifications are an advantage.
