Field Service Engineer

Do you want to work in an international technology company where innovation is part of everyday life – and where you get responsibility that makes a difference? And are you ready for a global role with travel activity, technical exciting challenges, and close customer contact?

Enter a central role where you will be the customers' technical expert and ensure operation and quality worldwide. Here you will have the opportunity to develop yourself professionally, work hands-on with advanced equipment – and become a key player in our international service organization.

At GEA Liquid Technologies in Skanderborg, you will become part of a dedicated service team that covers the whole of Northern Europe and provides global support to some extent. We work closely together with both customers and colleagues to deliver high-quality advice, assistance, and technical solutions.

You will have a daily routine with skilled colleagues, good development opportunities, and a solid international group in your back, known for sustainable products and high technical level.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the customers' technical lifeline – both when it comes to acute support and preventive service. You will be out at customers a lot of the time and have a base at the office in Skanderborg when you are at home, where you will also plan, manage, and coordinate service projects. You can expect around 60–150 travel days per year – primarily in Scandinavia, but also globally. On larger service projects, you will have a coordinating role, where you lead a team of technicians on site.

More specifically, you will:

  • Plan and coordinate service projects
  • Troubleshoot and maintain process equipment
  • Rebuild and commission plants
  • Complete service reports and checklists
  • Advise customers on the operation and maintenance of their plants
  • Ensure high standards of safety in all work assignments

We will of course ensure that you have the right tools, a thorough introduction, and training in troubleshooting and maintenance, so you are well prepared for the job.

Your profile / qualifications

With your quality-conscious and service-minded approach, you meet customers with a smile and deliver high technical quality with professional pride.

In addition, we expect that you:

  • Have a relevant technical background (e.g., dairy technician, process technologist, machine master, automation technician, blacksmith, mechanic) or equivalent experience
  • Have experience with service work, preferably in troubleshooting and startup of process plants with hygienic design
  • Have a driver's license
  • Can meet at the office in Skanderborg when you are not out at customers
  • Speak Danish and have proficiency in English in writing and speaking
  • Maybe also have knowledge of machine controls (not a requirement)
