GATE FUEL Service Lubricant Driver - NON Hazmat

Job Title

Primary Purpose of Position: This position delivers non-hazmat DEF and Lubricant products to all specified locations. This position engages in deliveries of all bulk, LTL and non-bulk DEF and Lubricants. Driver must adhere to all rules and regulations that are required by the D.O.T. and is required to have a valid medical certificate. This position requires excellent driving and customer service skills, good organizational skills, the ability to document data accurately and a consistent ability to work in a team.

Essential Functions:

• Delivering products to specified locations
• Awareness of all regulations required for Tank endorsed drivers
• Awareness of all DOT regulations
• Performs safety inspections of Equipment before, during and at shift end
• Accounts for all products delivered
• Analyzes delivery locations to ensure safe drops
• Must calculate tank capacity for delivery

Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

• Minimum Class B license with Tank endorsement and holding a TWIC card. Class A is preferred.
• Clear DOT Medical Certificate
• Clean driving record for 3 yrs.
• Ability to route deliveries on map or using GPS

Physical/Mental/Environmental:

• Activities: Sitting 50%
• Walking/Standing 50%
• Lifting: Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Vision: As required by DOT
• Mental Demands: Problem solves and makes decisions.
• Environment: Exposure to outside elements such as wind, rain, etc.

Additional Information:

Work schedules, physical and emotional demands, and lifestyles among commercial drivers vary by the type of driving they do. While the main type of driving in our business is consistent, it can change depending on traffic, weather, supply, equipment, and dispatched work. There may be duties in addition to driving tasks for which our driver is responsible and needs to be fit. Some of these responsibilities are: Unloading and loading using hoses or loading heads weighing as much as 50 lbs. if full of product. Inspection of equipment requires stooping and bending and lifting of the hood. The above tasks demand agility, the ability to maintain a crouching position to inspect the underside of the vehicle, frequent entering and exiting of the cab, and the ability to climb ladders on the trailer(s). Driver also must be able to push the clutch, if equipped and brake pedal repetitively throughout their shift. Uniforms will be supplied, and hard-toed footwear is required for your safety.
