Team Leader - IT Conferencing Services
We are seeking a full-time Team Leader - IT Conferencing Services at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of one or more IT service teams and maintaining strong business relationships with associates. This role works directly with other areas of IT including Cyber Security, Risk Management, Data Privacy, IT Infrastructure, etc., to develop and maintain policy, standards, and processes, as well as build processes and tools to enforce compliance and smooth IT operations and service.
Essential Functions
- Provide operational leadership for day-to-day activities, including handling coverage schedules, approving time off, delivering feedback to team members, and holding 1-1 and team meetings
- Serve as a primary point of contact for associates for feedback and escalations, as well as coordinate resolution steps and escalate to resources outside of immediate team
- Create, develop, maintain, and present training materials for associates
- Ensure team adheres to all policies, standards, and work instructions
- Maintain standards for conference room technology and support services
- Provide production services for large meetings, on/offsite productions, conferences, and executive meetings
- Stay current with industry knowledge and tools to provide technically accurate solutions to customers
- Develop reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Lead and develop operational processes to monitor conference room health and to quickly respond to issues with conference rooms
- Provide continuous learning opportunities for associates in conference room systems and services
- Lead process improvement, cost management, and service performance for conferencing services
- Research, resolve, and respond timely to moderately complex questions regarding conference room equipment and webcast productions
- Provide Audio/Visual support for large conferences including running audio and video production board, editing video and editing presentations in both Windows and Macintosh
- Understand, develop and support video conferencing and content sharing including webcast meeting and collaboration tools such as Teams and Zoom
- Demonstrate proficiency in periodic use of video/audio recording and editing
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or another technical or related field of study AND a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
- Excellent academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
- Experience managing enterprise grade conference room services and technologies
- Demonstrated ability to implement new technologies effectively
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a team setting
- Consistently demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work documentation and organization
- Previous experience working with IT vendors and partners
- Previous leadership experience in Technical Support related field
- Previous technical support experience and/or demonstrated ability to effectively manage technical resources
