GardaWorld Cash Services, an internationally recognized security company, is currently looking for an Operations Manager for its Cash Transportation division.

What you will be doing:

• Assisting the Branch Manager in planning, organizing, managing, and controlling the operations under his/her responsibility, based on the company's management values
• Investigating to verify and resolve customers and shippers' complaints
• Implementing schedule and policy changes
• Identifying the routes that require operational follow-ups and ensuring route supervision
• Ensuring that the collective agreement and applicable laws are suitably applied; fostering open discussions and transparency
• Ensuring that performance evaluations for unionized staff are carried out efficiently before the end of the probation period
• Promoting safe work activities by conducting safety audits, attending company safety meetings, and meeting with individual staff members
• Participating in disciplinary process or settlements of grievances
• Monitoring operations to ensure that staff members respect administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
• Monitoring spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets
• Preparing management recommendations, such as proposed fee or schedule changes
• Conducting investigations, when necessary, in cooperation with internal or external agencies to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures

What we are looking for:

• 5 years' experience in administration and management of unionized employees or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Health and safety management experience
• Working knowledge of Workers Compensation reporting process
• Have a valid Restricted and Non-Restricted Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisitions License)
• Driven by offering exceptional customer service
• Sense of urgency, outstanding communication and problem solving
• Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
