Ensure the quality and robustness of safety engineering solutions and technological risk assessment recommendations across company assets.
Develop and maintain Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA), Technological Risk Assessments, Major Risk Registers, Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECE), associated Performance Standards, and ALARP demonstrations.
Produce hydrocarbon release reports and maintain an up-to-date hydrocarbon release register.
Track and report process safety KPI trends, including hydrocarbon releases.
Develop and maintain "Safety Concept" documentation for offshore installations.
Establish safety engineering and technological risk assessment specifications, standards, and guidelines.
Plan and conduct hazard identification and safety studies including HAZOP, SIL, safety risk assessments, technological risk reviews, and ALARP demonstrations for operating assets, projects, and modifications (Management of Change process).
Prepare and maintain Major Risk Registers for all offshore locations, updating them every five years or following major facility modifications.
Act as Principal Process Safety Engineer when required.
Update and/or develop Detailed Risk Assessments (DRA), including isolatable section definition, parts count, frequency analysis, event tree analysis, consequence modeling (PHAST), and overall risk analysis.
Develop and update Major Risk Registers based on DRA results.
Perform ALARP demonstrations derived from DRA outcomes.
Conduct or update flare radiation and dispersion studies.
Update SECE registers and associated Performance Standards.
Prepare study assumption registers and methodologies for technical safety assessments.
Perform and/or update non-process hazard risk assessments, including:
Ship collision
Dropped objects
Update Safety Concept documents in alignment with company referential standards.
Perform or update EERA (Emergency Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Analysis) studies for normal operations and SIMOPS scenarios.
Participate in and, when required, chair safety engineering workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP demonstrations).
Provide technical safety support to operations, engineering, construction, projects, and SIMOPS activities.
Participate in safety reviews associated with conceptual design, engineering phases, and facility modifications.
Prepare scopes of work for all safety engineering and technological risk assessment studies.
Develop and maintain technological risk assessments and Major Risk Registers for all operating sites.
Perform consequence modeling using PHAST.
Perform and review safety engineering studies, including:
Flare and vent system assessments
Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) to IP15 and API RP 500/505
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Engineering Degree or Master's degree.
Minimum 12 years of experience performing technical safety studies in the oil and gas industry.
Strong knowledge of safety and risk engineering standards and industry best practices.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Risk assessment tools: PHAST, FlareSIM, OREDA, OGP, HCRD, UKOOA, PARLOC
