Senior QA Engineer

Software Quality Assurance Manager

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the testing efforts, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality of software products.
• Lead and coordinate testing efforts throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Identify, prioritize, and track software defects to resolution.
• Design and implement automated testing solutions to streamline the testing process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and usability.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the QA team.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.

Requirements:

1. Educational Qualifications:

• University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or any other related technical discipline.
• Master's degree in Management/Technology or any other related discipline will be an added advantage.

2. Experience:

• 7 to 12 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing in the financial domain.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

3. Industry Knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of industry trends.
• Knowledge of local/international best practices/standards.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of the banking industry, banking operations, processes, products/services, and associated technologies.
• Understanding of relevant statutory frameworks applying to data governance (e.g., Data Protection Act).

4. Regulatory Compliance:

• Knowledge of regulatory/governance framework/guidelines related to data governance.

5. Certifications:

• Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is preferred.
