Job Descriptions
- Plan, allocate and monitor production schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Manage the team to ensure team effectiveness and efficiency
- Provide technical advice/support to factories and colleagues to solve production issues
- Provide technical advice on pattern making/sample fitting/sample construction, etc
- Manage the team to monitor production progress and solve production issues
- Responsible for product development from design hand off with an emphasis on quality product development and timely completion of all tasks in accordance with the operating calendar
- Attend and monitor fit of prototypes as needed for quality, execution and construction and provide information to factories in order to make necessary changes clear and organized
- Use of discretion and judgment when making decisions during the product management process from inception through completion
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with product development, designers, and factories' quality control in order to ensure product success
- Manage factories to ensure timely completion and meet all goals for the different categories
- Articulate deadlines to direct reports while constructively supporting timely feedback
- Develop processes and reports as required for department efficiency
- Ensure that the production is cost effective and the quality and finishing standards
- Make sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality
- Monitor the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
- Lead regional production team to meet product delivery dates, execute merchandising strategy, and ensure an exceptional online customer experience
- Create shift work schedules and coordinate requested vacation time coverage to maintain production schedule and weekly schedule required to meet production requirements
- Review and analyze production and operational reports and trending to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems
- Conduct a daily process equipment operational inspection and conduct production supervisor meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- Degree in Clothing, Textile Merchandising or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience with at least 5 years in managerial level
- Strong product and material knowledge, and familiar with merchandising and product development process
- Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded
- Ability to build strong relationships with the team as a good team leader, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Strong problem solving skills. Able to manage multiple tasks environment
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Literate in Microsoft office programs
- Frequent travel is required
