Service Pcb Technician
As a Service PCB Technician, you will work with our team performing PCB BGA removal and placement along with minor system level debug of electronic hardware in support of Service and/or Production down to the component level. The candidate should have high level SMT solder experience and will perform PCB rework, upgrade and document steps necessary to process all PCB requirements. The candidate should be a hands-on problem solver with capacity to quickly grasp and resolve technical problems and should be capable of solving real-world problems in the simplest and most cost-effective way. May assist in the design, construction, test and repair of medical equipment. Will work under the direction of Service Operations.
Essential Job Functions
- High level Solder skills for implementation of PCB rework and hardware upgrades
- Experience with BGA machine operation which includes removal and placement of BGA components
- Ability to troubleshoot Ultrasound system and Transducers PCBAs, and accessories to the component level.
- Provide repair of manufacturing failures and customer returned products.
- Provide root cause analysis of failures as required.
- Follow medical device design controls including detailed documentation.
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as required.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of laboratory and testing areas, including tool maintenance.
- Responsible and accountable for carrying out the requirements of the company's quality policy.

- Cross train in operational processes to sustain departmental objectives.
- Ensure a safe, clean and organized work environment (5S).
Knowledge and Experience
- 2-4 year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
- Certificate in SMT soldering techniques
- Experience with BGA operation (Removal and placement)
- Working knowledge of ESD controls
- Current knowledge of medical/electronic technology, especially medical ultrasound
- Experience in a medical equipment manufacturing and service environment
- Current knowledge of ASIC, Chip Scale, and SMT technologies
- Experience with basic circuit design & electronic components
- Experience with MS Office suites
- Experience with basic hand tools
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate equipment such as repair tools, handheld and electronic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs with or without accommodations.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting wage of $34.00/hr. + $0.50 raise after 6 months of service
