The Forensic Accounting Advisory Services (Investigation & Compliance) Team

In strong development and growth, the Investigation & Compliance team has many professionals in Europe specialized in conducting investigations related to fraud and corruption issues and in the implementation of compliance programs.

The Paris team is in an important phase of development and offers magnificent opportunities to work on high-value subjects while actively participating in the growth of a dynamic team in a "start-up" spirit.

Our work includes conducting investigations and internal inquiries on allegations of fraud, corruption, cyber, money laundering, anti-competitive practices, but also to accompany our clients in the implementation and evaluation of compliance programs (FCPA, UK BA, Sapin II, ISO 37001), the realization of compliance due diligence during M&A operations, the certification process of ISO or during interactions with authorities (French Anticorruption Agency AFA).

What You Will Do

  • This internship will offer you the opportunity to join one of the most renowned Forensic & Compliance teams in the world and work on complex issues in a highly international environment for prestigious clients.
  • You will have the opportunity to participate in projects related to the identification and management of risks linked to fraud and corruption, the conduct of compliance due diligence and internal investigations in various industries (energy, TMT, extractive industry, luxury, etc.).
  • You will also contribute to the growth of the team by participating in the development of marketing and communication materials.
  • You will have the opportunity to put into practice your theoretical knowledge in finance and accounting, compliance law, and risk identification and analysis.
  • You will be exposed to cutting-edge sectorial issues, current affairs, and high-stakes topics with recognized experts on these issues.

If You Were Already At FTI Consulting, You Might Have Been Part Of Teams That:

  • Defined and conducted an ambitious value creation program for an industrial company, acting on both its topline (clients, products/services, channels, pricing, salesforce effectiveness) and bottom-line (operational model, supply-chain, operations, structure and sizing of organizations).
  • Reviewed the organizational efficiency of a global high-tech company, using some of our proprietary tools, resulting in a more simple, efficient, and less costly organization.
  • Accompanied a leading family office in the acquisition of a company, through a set of strategic, commercial, operational, reputational, cyber, and financial due diligence, followed by integration support post-merger.

Your Profile

  • You have a higher education degree from a top business school, engineering school, or specialized universities, specializing in these subjects and ideally have already completed a successful internship in Consulting, Audit, or Compliance.
  • You are rigorous, pragmatic, and motivated, with a good analytical and synthesis spirit, a real openness to the international, and you like working in a team.
