Asset & Technical Support Assistant

Friendship Public Charter School operates a thriving network of college preparatory public charter schools. Headquartered in Washington, DC. Responsibilities

The Asset & Technical Support Assistant duties include but are not limited to:

  • Account for the IT assets throughout the enterprise and utilize File Maker Pro to track all assets within the organization and distributed locations throughout the district.
  • Assist in audit, purchase, inventory, receiving, distribution and disposal of equipment and material for a multitude of IT programs
  • Inventory cart and classroom computers (iPad, ChromeBooks, Laptops and Desktops) once a month throughout all FPCS building. Inventory includes checking computer keyboards and screens for damage as well as assure that cart power supplies are working properly.
  • Assist Technology Support Specialist (TSS) and Director of IT Operations in assuring that all damaged computers are repaired and operational as soon as possible.
  • Run reports in File Maker Pro in preparation of inventory and budget meetings
  • Verify, enter, and adjust equipment IT Asset Management data in a variety of forms, schedules, and reports.
  • Track entire life-cycle management for each asset in order to maintain warranty and licensing information, refresh date and end of life date information
  • Assist in developing written plans, policies and procedures, and document processes to support implementation of asset management
  • Provide assistance to Technology Support Specialists when needed in the following fields, labeling IT assets, storage and securing organization/inventory, technical support
  • Provide assistance to Director of IT Operations when needed in the following fields, repairing, programming, and replacement of telecommunications equipment, Collection and distribution of laptops during onboarding and year end processes, bi annual inventory
  • Track asset movement within and between campuses, support in transport and placement of IT assets into work areas and classrooms, and report all asset adds-moves-changes to direct supervisor

Qualifications

  • IT inventory experience
  • Experience with File Maker preferred
  • Must be detailed oriented, work independently, and self-motivated
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Must be able to comfortably lift and move 30 LBS

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED, Bachelors preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must be able to legally drive a vehicle, and have a clean driving record, no CDL requirements
