Support Team Lead Manager

The Support Team Lead Manager supervises, manages and coordinates all day-to-day management of the support personnel and operations that support the delivery of comprehensive mental health and substance use/addiction services in a manner that most satisfies clients. The Support Team Lead Manager demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. The Support Team Lead Manager provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. The Support Team Lead Manager will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received. The Support Team Lead Manager directly reports to the Director of Support Services and Credentialing.

Education: Bachelor degree, may substitute with a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in health care administration.

Responsibilities:

  • The Support Team Lead manager is responsible for the selection, training, development and supervision of the clinical support team leaders and support service float staff
  • The Support Team Lead Manager is responsible for monitoring the various automated reports for the clinical support areas, running, and monitoring the posted appointment report and missing diagnosis report, deficiency listings and outstanding G11 dollars on a regular basis, and recommending changes or performing trainings to help improve outstanding items.
  • The Support Team Lead Manager recommends policies and is charged with the responsibility for developing detailed procedures in keeping with internally and externally mandated policies. All policies regarding areas of responsibility shall be reviewed annually with recommended updates given to the Director of Support Services and Credentialing.
  • The Support Team Lead Manager will determine critical needs in times of absences and assign the float(s) to those areas. The Support Team Lead Manager assists the clinical support team leaders and float(s) with covering vacancies when needed.
  • The Support Team Lead Manager will perform testing of all processes in all Avatar patch updates in the Avatar testing environment within 7 working days of the notification of new patches loaded in the test environment and provide feedback on the testing to the Director of Support Services and Credentialing as well as the IT Director.
  • The Support Team Lead Manager will keep up with all regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to Medicaid, Medicare, Insurance and Department of Mental Health.
  • The Support Team Lead Manager will adhere to all compliance policies and monitor support staff in their processes to assure the same standards for compliance are met and perform any subordinate staff reviews in a timely manner.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • TB test upon hire
  • Must occasionally deal with irate individuals
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours if needed.

  • Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier, and other office equipment as needed
  • Sufficient sensory-motor dexterity to complete motor skill tasks, including vision, hearing, and speech.
  • Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, and stooping.
