Operations Manager

To actively contribute to the achievement of key business objectives through managing of all operational and administrative aspects within functional area

The Operations Manager will be accountable for the operational process excellence for the home loans division with FNB. They oversee the operations of home loans related to private and government schemes business and pension backed Homeloans, Life Assurance and Homeowners cover, Securities department, Cancellations and other ad hoc administrative and operational requirements of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide an efficient administration service through careful and timeous planning, reporting and updating all related information
  • Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements
  • Precise, systematic and rule-oriented in gathering, reviewing and evaluating data from a variety of perspectives; includes the ability to work with precision and highlight inaccuracies and inconsistencies in detailed information
  • Anticipates, recognizes and meets the needs of internal and external customers, taking responsibility for maintaining the highest service standards and developing and sustaining productive client relationships
  • Listens attentively, presents information in a clear manner and responds appropriately to the verbal and written communication of others
  • Managing strategic relationships within the Homeloans department to ensure delivery
  • Initiating and managing projects required to implement the operations strategy
  • Deliver on system change journey and continuous innovations
  • Lead team of team leaders and administrators

Qualifications

  • Hold a relevant degree in a related field of finance, administration or operations.
  • Have 7–10 years of experience in management. (Previous experience with management of large teams would be an advantage)
  • Have solid knowledge of home loans products and service solutions
  • Are well-versed in financial industry standards
  • Understand how to leverage digitization and technology to address business needs
  • Are an energetic self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to
  • Manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Have project management experience – an added advantage
