Franklin Templeton is a global asset manager overseeing $1.6 trillion in assets. Over $250 billion is invested in private assets through specialist managers like Alcentra, Benefit Street Partners, Clarion Partners, and Lexington Partners. The Luxembourg-based FTIS team manages a diverse range of funds including UCITS, Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and separately managed accounts (SMAs) across private equity, real estate, credit, and hedge fund strategies. Joining this team offers exposure to a dynamic, fast-growing private markets environment with opportunities for collaboration, learning, and impact.

Core Responsibilities

  • Review valuations across asset classes in line with AIFMD and CSSF Circular 18/698.
  • Analyse market data to support valuations from internal and external sources.
  • Prepare valuation reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Approve NAV calculations and ensure timely reporting.
  • Document and review valuation processes for consistency.
  • Conduct due diligence on valuation agents and internal teams.
  • Support audit processes related to valuation.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to valuation policy development.
  • Support fund onboarding for valuation and NAV matters.
  • Ensure independence and control in valuation governance.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulators.
  • Serve as a voting member of the Valuation Committee.
  • Lead due diligence of valuation teams and vendors.

Team & Collaboration

  • Identify valuation risks and propose solutions.
  • Establish controls to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with global teams and external stakeholders.
  • Respond to valuation-related queries.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • CFA, CAIA, FRM or Master's degree preferred.
  • 3–5 years' experience in valuation or financial analysis.
  • Background in asset management, private equity, or real estate.
  • Knowledge of valuation principles for alternative funds.

Technical Skills

  • Strong grasp of AIF regulations.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and valuation tools.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg or Capital IQ.
  • Ability to work across jurisdictions and time zones.

Soft Skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator in English; French or German is a plus.
  • Ethical, reliable, and deadline-driven.
  • Collaborative and independent worker.
