This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. As a Scientific Computing Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Scientific Computing, Automation, and Development (SCAD) team supports engineering analysis for existing light water reactor fleet, advanced reactors, and small modular reactors.

Your work will include developing safety related software in Python for automation of engineering calculations in solid mechanics, thermal hydraulics, computational fluid dynamics and other engineering disciplines. You'll work directly with engineering teams to understand their calculation needs and define appropriate software scopes. This position will be relied upon to provide support and training to engineers to enable them to complete their work efficiently and with high quality. This position requires occasional travel. The range of base salary for the position is between $65,000 - $84,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
