As Conference Services Manager you are responsible for booking catering events for the hotel and servicing group events that have been booked by others. In your role you will oversee all aspects of client liaison and build new client relationships within the marketplace on a continuous basis. Dealing with group business and private individual clients, you will be responsible for planning all details of an event and managing client requirements to ensure that events run smoothly and accounts are kept in order for a seamless follow-up after all events.
You are an individual who has a solid knowledge of food and beverage, able to evidence strong business acumen, have a proven track record displaying creativity and excellent communication skills.
We're looking for a genuine caring and compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality that possess integrity and accountability. You would have a professional attitude and sincere approach with interaction to guests and vendors via phone and face to face. An individual who lets their personality shine through and can be themselves. You feel empowered to make the best decisions for the company as well as the guest.
You have a professional career with 3-5 years experience in hotel (preferably luxury) related Conference Services, Catering and Events positions with leading, supervising and directing staff. Your working love and passion is all about the top level luxury hospitality industry. You must have the highest level of integrity and transparency.
You are a team player and foster connection, as your role works very closely with Banquet and Culinary operations showing support, coaching, and open to feedback. You are brave; have a pro-active and inquisitive mind set to develop problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills.
Your craftsmanship includes knowledge of production methods and event planning working on the fly and flexible with any changes, obstacles and issues that may arise. Ability to have work hard but still have FUN!
You recognize and show confidence when receiving and responding to incoming telephone calls in accordance with Four Seasons Standards and assist with other catering/conference service and Food and Beverage operations when needed. Your organizational and time management skills are at the top of the list for your skills, making you a professional in preparing accurate written correspondence including letters, contracts and reports and the preparation of Banquet Event Orders, and resumes if needed.
Your flexible in your work schedule knowing that most events and conferences can happen on evenings, weekends and holidays based on business needs. Prior experience with Opera and Delphi computer systems will truly help you move to the front of the applicant line.
