Lab Operations Manager
You will be the Lab Operations Manager for the Flight Simulation & Hardware-in-the-Loop Lab Operations team. Our team operates 33 advanced lab venues on the Fort Worth campus, delivering flight-simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing for iconic U.S. and allied aircraft and supporting Advanced Development Program systems. As the Lab Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading a high-skilled technical workforce, ensuring flawless program execution, and maintaining safe, secure, and compliant lab environments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians – handling recruitment, talent development, performance assessments, and labor planning.
- Managing program execution for lab projects—including cost, schedule, and technical performance—while acting as a trusted advisor to customers and program stakeholders.
- Controlling and maintaining lab facilities: physical and data security, property and asset tracking, configuration and tool control, equipment calibration, safety protocols, and compliance with Lockheed Martin standards.
- Coordinating with development and integration teams to deliver state-of-the-art flight-simulation environments, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and driving continuous improvement of testing capabilities.
- Building and sustaining enduring relationships across the organization and with external partners, identifying top talent, and creating career-path opportunities for the team.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM field
- Experience with leading technical teams, mentoring junior engineers, and/or experience forming and growing a high performing multidiscipline team
- In-depth operational, developmental, integration, or test experience with modern avionics
- Must be US Citizen
Desired Skills:
- Experience in System Integration Labs or Hardware in the loop labs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
- Demonstrated ability to respond quickly to shifting priorities and to effortlessly multitask across those priorities, while inspiring collaboration, confidence, and motivation of a team in stressful and dynamic environments
- Have a strong desire to build and lead high-talent teams
- Provide project management mentorship to technical leads
- Expertise in Metrics Collection, Risk and Opportunities, Management, and Staffing
- Familiarity with Digital Transformation processes, tools, common products, and infrastructure
