Job Duties / Responsibilities: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2026 Intern Facilities Engineering with a focus on Building Automation and Controls. In this role, you will work with our Building Automation Team to assist with the designing, setting up, and managing the technology that controls various building systems. These building systems include HVAC, Energy Management, Lighting Control, Security & Fire Alarm, and Building Automation Protocols and Standards. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge with these controls systems and a passion for further developing that skillset. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications: Pursuing Degree in Building Automation Engineering Technology, Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Knowledge and/or experience with Building Automation and Controls. Knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Experience in Facilities Operations Organization preferred, but not required.

Desired Skills: Experience working on facilities projects. Participation in controls engineering competitions, hackathons, or research projects. Experience with control systems software and tools, such as Simulink and PLC Programming.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
