Cyber Systems Security Engineer Senior

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Be More Than You Can Imagine. The Cyber Systems Security Engineer Senior candidate is responsible for the definition, design, development, buildup, integration, delivery, and sustainment of complex information systems to support operational platforms. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and platform solutions, including servers, storage, and network devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems, specifically with RHEL and Windows workstations.
  • Make recommendations for infrastructure and platform improvements.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure and platform solutions and configurations.
  • Work closely with the development teams to ensure that all application deployments are integrated into the platform seamlessly.

The ideal candidate will communicate effectively with a range of audiences, technical and non-technical, and will function effectively on an engineering team to create a collaborative environment that allows for the establishment of mission goals, itemized planning of tasks, and prioritization of tasks that drives the efficient execution of objectives. Must be willing and able to travel to an undisclosed location(s), as required by business needs.

A level 3 employee Typically has 3 - 5 years of professional experience. Must be a US citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess a secret clearance with an investigation in the last 6 years and must be able to obtain a top secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications: CompTIA Security+ or any DoD 8570 level 2 certifications. Red hat and windows implementation experience. Tactical Data Systems experience.

Desired Skills: Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). Experience with Windows system administration and troubleshooting. Strong communication and documentation skills. Experience conducting technical trade studies and assessments. Experience working in an aerospace design environment with exposure to DoD customers. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.

  • Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
  • Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
