Mail Operations Specialist

This position is essential to ensuring the timely and secure processing of child support-related documents across California. You'll work with specialized imaging equipment to manage high volumes of incoming mail that directly impact families across the state. Your efficiency and accuracy will help support vital public services in a mission-driven, fast-paced setting.
Worksite: On Site – Rancho Cordova, CA
Work Schedule: Full-time, 5-day schedule that may include Saturdays and early morning start times of 6 AM, with potential for overtime
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

What You'll Do:
- Perform batching procedures and feed all documents into the scanning equipment (OPEX)
- Maintain established productivity and quality standards with high attention to detail
- Conduct preventive maintenance of the OPEX, workstations, and monitors; report issues as needed
- Ensure the security and integrity of financial instruments and department procedures
- Support other departments as needed to maintain operational flow
- Follow professional standards of conduct, including behavior, attendance, and dress code
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in high-volume, time-sensitive environments (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in using PCs and common software tools • Familiarity with OPEX scanning equipment and the OpenKey system (a plus)
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Comfort with routine, repetitive tasks and a focus on accuracy under tight timelines • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, handle paperwork frequently, and perform repetitive keyboarding motions
