In this position, the x86 hardware engineer ensures that the right hardware platform is selected to be deployment within Ford's hosting locations. The selected individual is expected to work closely with the hardware vendors and our internal SMEs to evaluate, select, standardize, test and certify the server hardware bundles, firmware, and related tools and components before they are deployed in Ford's environment globally. This role requires a deep understanding of the x86 server hardware technology including hardware components such as CPUs, GPUs, RAM, storage controllers, NICs, HBAs, BIOS, firmware, etc.
