Risk Controlling Specialist

As a specialist (m/f/d) in risk controlling you will take on a key role in the monitoring, analysis, and management of essential bank risks. You will be responsible for the conception and further development of our risk models and reports and act as an important interface to various departments and the management. With a focus on "Retail & Wholesale" you will concentrate on the end customer and dealer financing business and its specific risks.
Full time (35 hours/week)
Responsibilities
- Independent conception, implementation, and further development of risk monitoring and reporting for the end customer and dealer financing business.
- Specific focus on default risks and residual value risks from these business activities.
- Conception and optimization of the required data preparation for risk reporting.
- Development and implementation of credit decision rules and scorecards for risk assessment.
- Definition of risk appetite for the default risk.
- Daily determination of exposure and monitoring of limits.
- Monthly monitoring of the financed vehicle stock.
- Operational support and further development of the credit decision platform.
- Coordination of relevant bodies and processes in the area of credit portfolio and credit risk management.
Qualifications
- A successfully completed higher education degree (e.g. economics, mathematics, physics, statistics or a comparable course of study with a strong quantitative focus).
- Several years of relevant professional experience in risk management in a bank or in the financial services industry, ideally with a specialization in default risk, residual value risk or market and liquidity risk.
- In-depth knowledge of the relevant banking regulatory requirements, in particular MaRisk, KWG, CRD/CRR as well as the ECB and EBA guidelines.
- A highly structured way of thinking as well as experience in the analysis and preparation of large and complex data sets.
- Practical programming skills (e.g. in SAS, R, Python or SQL) are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex issues in a clear and comprehensible manner.
- A high degree of initiative, self-organization and result orientation.
- Fluent German and English skills in speech and writing.
