Design & Release Steering Engineer
Design & Release Steering Engineer is responsible to design, develop, validate and release parts under his/her responsibility for the assigned programs. The D&R is also responsible to look for design improvements to increase quality and cost, weight optimization. The Steering D&R must design parts to comply with Corporate and Local Requirements for parts validation, considering the WCR (Worldwide Customer Requirements), ES (Engineering Specification) and SDS (System Design Specification) as well as Manufacturing and Assembly requirements. The engineer is also responsible of parts incorporation at the Assembly Plant. Steering D&R is responsible to evaluate the engineering changes requested by supplier base and ensure they do not affect Manufacturing and Assembly process. He is also responsible to identify DTC's and define the solution to solve them and prevent its recurrence.
