Production Support Developer
This role provides application support for the FNZ business. It involves issue management from external and internal clients to meet KPIs and SLAs and liaising with other areas of FNZ to ensure a robust and scalable production environment for all FNZ's customers. Team Responsibilities
- Application Support – ensure that the application is maintained and working efficiently against agreed service levels.
- Issue Management – analyse, investigate, and allocate issues for resolution and closure.
- Service Support – support Service Managers in delivering FNZ services within KPIs, SLAs, and contractual obligations.
- Change Management – support guidance for testing and release processes for production fixes.
- Project Handover – facilitate the transition between project support and production support for all changes.
Specific Role Responsibilities
- Investigating errors in live high-end platforms.
- Researching and fixing defects based on descriptions.
- Developing code, scripts, schemas required to solve complex technical issues.
- Investigating problems on databases, web, and application servers.
- Dealing with performance issues.
- Communicating with Production Support Analysts and Testers.
- Automating manual processes within Production Support (CSI).
- Working in a group of highly skilled support developers to resolve production issues.
Performance Assessment
- KPI Reporting – issue management performance against KPIs.
- Availability – uptime during core and non-core hours.
- Performance – performance metrics during core and non-core hours.
- Reliability – test results and performance during real failure events.
Experience Required
- Good understanding of OOP and ability to debug (at least from school projects).
- Experience with C# and ASP.NET or VB.NET (all platforms are built on Microsoft technologies).
- Basics in MS SQL Database.
- Willingness to learn new things (important as there is a lot to learn and master).
- Logical thinking and an enjoyment of solving puzzles.
- IT education with at least a Bc. degree is preferred.
Nice to Have (not mandatory)
- Knowledge of ITIL.
- Basics in JavaScript and HTML.
- MS technologies experience (e.g., Visual Studio, Resharper).
