DevOps Engineer
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to strengthen our Core Banking platform operations following a team departure. The role focuses on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, environment stability, and secure delivery practices within a regulated financial services environment.
The position requires strong technical expertise with a foundational understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems combined with methodical execution, clear documentation, and disciplined delivery to ensure team-wide adoption and long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD & Release Engineering
- Assist with daily operational activities related to builds and deployments.
- Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity or equivalent).
- Support application delivery workflows from development through QA and Production.
- Integrate deployment tooling such as Octopus Deploy into controlled release processes.
- Ensure repeatable, traceable, and auditable delivery pipelines.
Infrastructure & Automation
- Automate environment provisioning and configuration using Ansible or equivalent tools.
- Maintain consistency across development, QA, and production environments.
- Reduce manual operations through automation while respecting governance constraints.
Source Control & DevOps Practices
- Support and enforce Git-based workflows (branching strategies, PRs, reviews).
- Contribute to platform modernization initiatives (e.g. SVN to GitHub migration).
- Promote DevOps best practices aligned with enterprise standards.
Platform Stability & Security
- Identify and mitigate infrastructure and pipeline-related risks.
- Contribute to platform security hardening and compliance requirements.
- Participate in incident analysis related to build, deployment, or environment failures.
Documentation & Team Enablement
- Produce clear, structured documentation for pipelines, deployments, and environments.
- Enable development teams to use DevOps tooling effectively and independently.
- Ensure solutions are understandable, maintainable, and not dependent on a single individual.
Required Hard Skills
Mandatory
- Proven experience as a DevOps / Platform Engineer in a production environment.
- Strong experience with CI/CD systems (TeamCity strongly preferred).
- Solid knowledge of Git and collaborative workflows.
- Experience with Ansible/Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with deployment automation tools (Octopus Deploy or equivalent).
- Strong Linux/Unix background.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
- Exposure to security controls, audits, or compliance-driven infrastructure.
- Experience supporting distributed, international development teams.
