Software Engineer

Join our team as a Software Engineer, where you'll play a key role in developing our core products. We're looking for someone with a strong Java background, a solid grasp of database technologies, and a passion for building enterprise systems that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. You'll also be committed to continuous improvement—helping us deliver better software every day.

What You'll Do:

• Design & Build: Develop, test, and maintain large-scale enterprise Java applications.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within a cross-functional Agile team alongside Product Owners, Engineers, Quality Engineers, and DevOps professionals.
• Requirements: Partner with the Product team to help define requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Quality Focus: Collaborate with Quality Engineers to establish effective testing strategies.
• Non-Functional Requirements: Contribute to defining and meeting standards for performance, security, and maintainability.
• Technical Roadmap: Help plan the technical roadmap, balancing new features with technical debt and ongoing improvements.
• Incremental Delivery: Emphasize iterative development, delivering incremental value to our products.
• Production Support: Assist with live incident support during regular sprint cycles

Who You Are:

• Demonstrable experience of at least 5+ years in Java programming
• Strong knowledge of Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• Messaging pattern experience (Kafka, ActiveMQ)
• Experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, and HTML5
• Strong database technology understanding including solid SQL skills
• Knowledge of database design principles
• Solid experience in Automated Testing spanning unit, integration, and functional testing
• Solid Continuous Integration skills
• Solid Agile Project Management tooling experience (JIRA e.g.)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Solid experience in code quality tools integration, version control management

The Interview Process

Every role starts the same, an introductory call with someone from our Talent Acquisition team. We will be looking for company and values-fit as well as your professional experience; there may be some technical role-specific questions during this call.

Every role is different after the initial call, but you can expect to meet several people from the team 1:1 and there might be further skill assessments in the form of a Take Home Assignment/Case Study Presentation or Pair Programming/Live Coding exercise depending on the role. In your initial call, we will walk you through exactly what to expect the process to be.
