Senior Application Engineer

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Senior Application Engineer to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria; who has a profound background in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and expertise in executing consulting projects and training customers in simulation tools.

Responsibilities and expertise requirement:

As a Sr. Application Engineer in FEA, your role will focus on addressing complex challenges through effective problem-solving. Your responsibilities will encompass:

Perform FEA simulations related to various industries especially Aerospace & Defense, and Oil & gas such as Blast, Ballistics, Fluid Structure Interaction, and fatigue simulations.

Deep understanding of structural mechanics using Ansys Mechanical or Ansys LS-DYNA.

Deep understanding in using different CAD tools for geometry modelling from CAD drawings, clean-up, and geometry preparation for FEA.

Conducting meetings with customers to understand the requirements and scope of work.

Consulting cost & time estimation, writing proposals, executing the projects, and delivering the results on time.

Need to demonstrate an ability to pick up new concepts and technologies quickly. Self-learning will be critical to accomplish this skill.

Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English.

Develop and Deliver high-quality introductory, advanced, and customized training online or onsite to the customers in the region.

Ability to travel up to 20%.

Desired candidate profile:

Required education and degree type: MS or PhD in Mechanical /Chemical/ Aerospace.

Required minimum years of professional experience in FEA: MS+8, or PhD+4.

Use of ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS Mechanical/APDL, LS-DYNA and related software packages.

Minimum 4 years of experience in executing consulting projects using Ansys FEA tools.

Minimum 4 years of experience in delivering training on Finite Element Analysis using Ansys tools.

Expert-level knowledge of linear, non-linear structural mechanics, explicit dynamics, linear dynamics, and multi-physics.

Strong organizational and time management skills, possess a sense of urgency.

Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.

Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment.

Lean Six Sigma Certification or process improvement experience is preferable.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Practical work experience in design, physical test, product development is an advantage.

Knowledge of industrial codes and standards is an advantage.

Certification in Project Management is an added advantage.
