This is an OPS (Other Personal Services) position and as such no paid time off is offered. Health benefits will be offered for full-time employment. OPS employees are eligible to participate in a deferred compensation plan.
This highly responsible position provides a variety of technical clerical duties for the Contract Administration Department of the Florida Department of Health in Broward County.
The position incumbent must possess a great deal of initiative and make independent decisions. This position is designated as a sensitive position and is required to maintain confidential information in accordance with state and federal statutes, rules and regulations, as well as Florida Department of Health in Broward County policies, protocols and procedures. The position reports directly to the Health Services Manager B.
Maintains and updates tracking systems, logs and lists for contract administration. Keeps department staff informed on the status of agreements. Follows up on work processes to ensure timely completion. Supports contract administration staff by creating, preparing and maintaining contract files. Assists with the preparation of contract supporting documentation. Maintains inventory of contract files and file destruction requests. As needed, assists in scheduling or coordinating meetings and making travel arrangements.
Practices proper phone etiquette when answering phone calls and responding to inquiries. Maintains adequate inventory of supplies by preparing and submitting supply requisitions. Provides administrative support with preparing letters and memoranda. Receives and distributes the incoming mail. Prepares outgoing mail and interoffice material for courier pickup.
