Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current Florida Registered Nurse License
  • Must possess a current CPR certification
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be willing and able to work evening, night, and weekend shifts
  • Successful completion of the due diligence process, to include but not limited to, a Level II Background check and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in long-term care or 120 bed skilled nursing facility
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Experience with medication administration
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Position Description:

The incumbent is responsible for giving ordered treatments, administer prescribed medications, give direct ADL care, and complete requirements for diagnostic procedures as requested by the attending physician on an assigned shift per established policies and procedures. Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Registered Nurse Supervisor.

Responsibilities include: receiving verbal orders, transcribing physician's orders, making rounds with physicians and other health care personnel, monitoring physician's orders for completion, reviewing and following up on resident incidents or complaints, counting narcotics at beginning and end of shift, ensuring that narcotic records are accurate, providing supervision for the facility on an assigned shift, reviewing work assignments with staff, ensuring assigned CNAs are in the dining room on time, problem solving with coworkers, recognizing and responding to changes in residents' conditions, notifying supervisor, physician, and family of changes, documenting all notifications, assisting physicians with special tests and procedures, receiving and giving reports at the beginning and end of shift, completing, signing and dating the MDS, RAP modules and additional assessments, reviewing and updating care plans, attending Interdisciplinary Care Plans when requested, maintaining professional standards of nursing care, following all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, attending mandatory and non-mandatory in-services, meetings, Care Plans and MDS as required, ensuring economical utilization of supplies and proper charging of items to residents' accounts, ensuring equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner, maintaining valid CPR certification and performing as needed, performing all other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
