This position is in the Bureau of Training, reporting either to the Basic Curriculum or Post-Basic Curriculum sections. This is a full-time position that works closely with subject-matter experts to develop curricula, textbooks, instructor guides, online courses, and evaluation methodologies, such as proficiency forms for High Liability courses. This position requires the ability to work in a collaborative writing environment, do research, collect data, and create curriculum specifically designed for adult learners. The position also requires excellent facilitation and customer service skills.
Specific duties include:
Knowledge of the principles of instructional design; skill in writing for specific audiences; skill in editing, proofreading, typesetting, or graphic design; ability to conduct research; ability to work independently; ability to use problem solving techniques; ability to prepare professional papers, research studies and reports; ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; ability to interact effectively with others and maintain working relationships; and ability to work on multiple, complex projects.
Starting hourly salary will be the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy.
