The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) provides highway safety and security through excellence in service, education, and enforcement. With a workforce of approximately 4,500 employees throughout the state, the Department is leading the way to A Safer Florida through the efficient and professional execution of its core mission: the issuance of driver licenses, vehicle tags and titles, and operation of the Florida Highway Patrol.

Duties and responsibilities include daily distribution of mail and answering phone calls, daily filing of office documentation, greeting customers, compiling daily bank deposits, reviewing information for compliance purposes, typing, filing, scanning business documents, and using Microsoft Word, Excel and/or Outlook to compose correspondence, emails, and compile information.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include knowledge of general office procedures and practices, knowledge of Microsoft Office, skill in providing customer service, ability to organize and maintain filing systems, ability to operate office equipment, ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments, skill in communicating effectively verbally, and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Job related requirements include being 16 years of age or older. The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview. Applicants will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation.
