This position might require some holiday and/or weekend work.

Your specific responsibilities:

  • Receives, sorts, and delivers all freight, supplies, mail, and specimens that are received by the laboratory.
  • Prepares all documentation for shipments received such as receiving reports done through the computer on the Ariba System and/or by purchase requisitions and other related sources.
  • Prepares, packs, and ships out various orders of supplies to facilities throughout the State.
  • Maintains inventory on all stock in the Supply Department and orders supplies and related materials from the warehouse and various vendors.
  • Performs daily operation of the bio-medical waste program.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of all units and work areas.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Knowledge of record-keeping procedures.
  • Knowledge of the basic concepts and principles of administrative principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of the procedures, equipment, and materials used in laboratory testing.
  • Knowledge of basic math.
  • Knowledge of bio-medical waste disposal practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

Qualifications:

Minimum - High School Diploma or Equivalent. Driver License Class E.
