The Agency for Persons with Disabilities seeks team members who demonstrate the qualities of being humble, hungry, and smart and lead others to embody the same. This position provides administrative support for the Region in answering agency phones in a responsive, professional, courteous manner and direct calls to staff. Assists and directs customers to appropriate staff.
Manage daily interaction with the public and staff by greeting and instructing people on various APD activities, forms or documents, as well as making referrals to other state agencies. Answers telephone in a timely, courteous manner and assure continuous phone coverage. Records telephone messages accurately. Routes complex inquiries to appropriate staff or take messages providing a model for excellent customer service. Perform other duties as assigned, including administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of: Techniques for handling telephone calls in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to: Communicate effectively in face-to-face, electronic, and written formats. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with people, families, providers, and staff within the region and statewide. Plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Demonstrate Skills in: Demonstrate skills in office/reception duties.
