Ops Administrative Assist I - 37980010
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is seeking an Administrative Assistant I for the Office of Business Planning in Tallahassee, FL.
This position is part-time and involves serving as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, providing assistance to stakeholders, answering the main phone line, managing electronic calendars, and performing general clerical duties such as data entry and mail processing.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Completion of administrative assignments in support of the District's regulatory programs
- Document management
- Data entry into Oculus and various databases
- Oculus Quality Assurance
- Incoming/outgoing mail processing
- Attendance at program and team meetings
- Performing related administrative duties
- Assisting with NWD's fleet management
- Assisting with new hire office preparation
- Assisting with ordering of office supplies
- Preparing program communication
- Assisting Business Planning Administrator and Branch Office Administrator with coordinating and scheduling
- Providing assistance to the Administrative Resource Team
- Serving as the branch office central point of contact for the public and staff
- Entering caller requests, complaints, and concerns into Inquiry/Complaint Tracker
- Assisting callers with general questions and providing requested information
- Greeting and directing visitors to appropriate staff members
- Preparing identification badges for all visitors and staff
- Assisting with maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for welcome desk duties

Minimum qualifications include:
- Valid driver license and ability to travel overnight as needed
- Two years of administrative and/or customer service experience
- Post-secondary degrees in a related field from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis
Pay: $16.50/hr for 24 hours a week
