This is work responsible for providing residential care, assisting with enrichment activities, and supporting the treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, stabilization, and recovery of people with a mental illness. OPS employment is a temporary employer/employee relationship used for accomplishing short-term or intermittent tasks. OPS employees are at-will employees and are subject to actions such as pay changes, changes to work assignment, and terminations at the pleasure of the agency head or designee. Qualifications:
Ability to attend a 1 - 2-week mandatory training course that will include completion of a CPR certification. This training could be scheduled during day, weekend, and evening hours.

This position will require night, weekend, and holiday work; including working on scheduled off duty days and various shifts. This position has also been designated as an essential position. Incumbents are expected to work during emergency situations or natural disasters and may be required to work before, during, and beyond normal work hours/days. The incumbent in this position will work with residents who have been charged with felony offenses and may have psychiatric disorders. DCF Mental Health Treatment Facilities are tobacco free.
