Your specific responsibilities:

The incumbent is part of a global public health organization and is expected to support the Florida Department of Health in its mission to protect, promote, and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts and its vision to be the healthiest state in the nation. Furthermore, the incumbent is expected to incorporate the agency values of innovation, collaboration, accountability, responsiveness and excellence in all aspects of their work. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for providing technical guidance to county health department TB control programs. This position covers Polk, Hardee, Manatee, Hillsborough, Sumter, Citrus, Hernando, Pasco and Pinellas counties. The position is assigned and administratively supervised by the Polk CHD. The position as a shared resource between CHDs in assigned region, requires strong case management skills, ability to work independently, ability to manage multiple program and policy issues simultaneously, and excellent communication skills. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing activities associated with surveillance and investigation of suspected and confirmed tuberculosis.

Knowledge of public health Knowledge of various computer programs Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments Ability to communicate effectively Ability to demonstrate leadership Ability to analyze processes/functions/data and take corrective action Ability to develop strong community partnerships

Qualifications:

Minimum - Valid FL driver's license Preferred - Experience working directly with patients diagnosed with active tuberculosis or other communicable diseases
