The work you will do: Financial Services Accountant / Transportation Support / Financial Services.
This position will perform professional accounting work that requires auditing, accounting, and computer skills for processing invoices for payment. The main responsibilities include auditing both contracts and non-contract invoices, as well as performing essential vouchering functions. This position is vital to ensure that we fulfill the agency's mission.

Anticipated pay: $1,713.24/Biweekly.
Your specific responsibilities include: preparing voucher schedules for permanent record retention, scanning and indexing payment documents, maintaining files, responding to requests for voucher information, processing invoices, reconciling payment voucher schedules, auditing payment documents, and reviewing reports for duplicate payments.
The successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities: knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable system, Microsoft Word and Excel; skills in performing work with a high level of attention to detail and auditing; and the ability to organize and file materials, research unidentifiable invoices, follow instructions, establish working relationships, work in a team environment, work independently, and communicate effectively.
Other job-related requirements include: responding to the provisions of Section 215.422, Florida Statutes, related to State Comptroller's rules and Department of Transportation invoice processing and warrant distribution, and serving on the Transportation Emergency Management Team. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of professional business work experience, or an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required work experience.
