Facilities Services Analyst

This is an open Career Service Facilities Service Analyst position working fulltime at the Department of Health in Lee County.

Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating facility maintenance, repair, and cleaning services.
  • Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinating efforts involving capital improvement projects and changes in space utilization.
  • Developing and maintaining recycling programs.
  • Assisting in the development of facility-related policies and procedures.
  • Managing access to DOH-Lee buildings by means of the distribution of physical keys and proximity card programming.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating efforts with the DOH-Lee Safety Coordinator to ensure a safe environment for staff and clients. Liaises with vendors to maintain fire and security systems.
  • Maintaining supply inventory, including, but not limited to, janitorial, consumable, and maintenance supplies.
  • Collaborating with preparedness staff and program managers to develop and maintain the all-hazards emergency operations plan and continuity of operations plan (COOP).
  • Responsible for obtaining quotes from vendors pursuant to Florida statute and agency policy. Pays for commodities and services by means of a state-issued purchasing card.

This is an on-call position and is responsible for responding to issues requiring attention outside of normal business hours. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures related to facilities management.
  • Skilled in collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work activities.
  • Ability to collect and analyze statistical data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize individual workload.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors with various temperature changes.

The position is classified as sensitive and requires background screening. Incumbents may be required to work before, during, and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. This position has been approved for on-call duties in accordance with Florida Statutes and Administrative Codes.
