Tableau Engineer

The Senior Tableau Engineer is responsible for providing end users with accurate reporting and dashboarding while supporting other departments in determining their data analytics and reporting needs. This position is responsible for maintaining Tableau and assisting with other applications that are part of the overall data suite. The successful candidate will assist all departments across the bank by creating operational efficiencies and utilizing data to successfully drive business initiatives and decisions.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain our Tableau environment and ensure data is efficiently loaded, and that stale reporting is archived
• Work with key business stakeholders to identify operational efficiencies through data analytics, automated report generation and streamlined dashboarding
• Proactively propose solutions to maintain and optimize a comprehensive analytics and reporting environment
• Review departmental data needs and architect and deliver a technical data solution
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Filter/clean data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code and data integrity issues
• Present information to project management teams, lines of business, and organizational leadership through reports, data visualization, and statistical analysis
• Research best practices and analyze current processes, tools, systems, or databases and make recommendations for development and system improvement
• Facilitate and create detailed documentation (design specification, data mapping, and data flow) to support the data management and reporting processes
• Identify and present R&D concepts to the CTO for business improvement considerations

Skills, Knowledge, and Training:

• Highly proficient with Tableau, Oracle PL/SQL, and Microsoft SQL Query
• 10 Years of data analytics experience preferred
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, and business intelligence concepts required Ability to coordinate with development teams and business owners
• Excellent oral/written communication, business acumen, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with API's
• Ability to transform complex business requirements into data analytic reporting and extracts

Working Conditions:

• Overtime hours as required
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components

Requirements:

• 10 years' work experience in applicable field is preferred
